Technical Engineer

About the role

The Technical Engineer will work on‑site in Suriname, performing diagnostics, maintenance and repair of industrial equipment and systems. The role ensures safe, reliable and efficient operation while supporting installations and technical projects.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily technical diagnostics, maintenance and repair activities on equipment and systems.
• Support installation and commissioning of new machinery and collaborate on technical projects.
• Document work performed, maintain technical records and propose process improvements.
• Adhere to safety standards, participate in inspections and provide technical support to colleagues and clients.

Required profile

• Strong technical knowledge in industrial, mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Experience in equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnostics and repair in an operational environment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation.
• Understanding of safety regulations, quality standards and best practices.
• Effective communication, teamwork and problem‑solving skills.
• Relevant technical or engineering education (diploma, associate or bachelor’s degree).
