Offshore SURF Surveyor

About the role

Airswift is seeking an experienced Offshore SURF Surveyor for a major deep‑water development in Suriname. You will support installation and survey operations of subsea pipelines and structures, ensuring data quality and compliance with project specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor offshore survey activities aboard installation vessels.
• Review positioning, navigation and survey data for compliance with project specs.
• Validate contractor deliverables, field reports and as‑built documentation.
• Support quality control of survey operations and data acquisition processes.
• Liaise between offshore contractors and project representatives on survey‑related matters.

Required profile

• Degree in Hydrography, Topography, Survey Engineering or related discipline.
• Previous experience on offshore oil & gas installation projects, preferably deep‑water.
• Fluent English communication skills and ability to work in multicultural, multidisciplinary teams.
• Valid offshore medical, BOSIET/T‑BOSIET, FOETCA‑EBS OPITO and Seaman’s Book.

Required skills

• Acoustic positioning systems (USBL/LBL).
• Marine survey and navigation systems.
• Metrology and offshore positioning.
• Survey sensors and multibeam technologies.
• Experience on Rigid Lay Vessels, PLSVs, OSR vessels or similar assets.
• Practical knowledge of rigid pipelay operations (S‑Lay/J‑Lay) and subsea structures installation.
