Offshore SURF Surveyor

About the role

The Offshore SURF Surveyor will oversee and supervise survey activities on a rotational offshore schedule, ensuring high‑quality data acquisition and compliance with HSEQ standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and supervise offshore survey activities, reviewing field reports and raw data quality.
• Ensure navigation sensors, DGPS, and dynamic‑positioning systems are calibrated and tested before operations.
• Coordinate with the offshore survey contractor, verifying compliance with specifications and procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality of all documentation and proactively meet agreed objectives.

Required profile

• Degree‑level qualification in Topography, Hydrography or a related field.
• Extensive offshore oil‑and‑gas experience, including deep‑water projects using acoustic techniques.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills within multicultural teams.
• Fluent spoken and written English.

Required skills

• USBL and LBL positioning systems.
• DGPS and vessel dynamic‑positioning.
• Marine‑positioning sensors such as towfish and multibeam.
• Land surveying, metrology and acoustic survey techniques.
• Rigid‑pipelay operations (S‑lay, J‑lay) and subsea‑structure installation.
