Offshore SURF Surveyor for Deepwater Project

About the role

Airswift is seeking an experienced Offshore SURF Surveyor to support a major deepwater development in Suriname. The role involves supervising survey activities on installation vessels and ensuring data quality for subsea pipelines and structures.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor offshore survey activities onboard installation vessels.
• Review positioning, navigation, and survey data for compliance with project specifications.
• Validate contractor deliverables, field reports and as‑built documentation.
• Support quality control of survey operations and data acquisition processes.
• Liaise between offshore contractors and project representatives on survey‑related matters.
• Verify calibration and performance of navigation and positioning equipment.

Required profile

• Degree in Hydrography, Topography, Survey Engineering or related discipline.
• Previous experience on offshore oil & gas installation projects, preferably deepwater.
• Valid BOSIET/T‑BOSIET/FOETCA‑EBS OPITO certifications, offshore medical and Seaman's Book.

Required skills

• Acoustic positioning systems (USBL/LBL).
• Marine survey and navigation systems.
• Metrology and offshore positioning.
• Survey sensors and multibeam technologies.
• Experience onboard Rigid Lay Vessels, PLSVs or OSR vessels.
• Knowledge of rigid pipelay operations (S‑Lay/J‑Lay) and subsea structures installation.
