HR Department Manager

About the role

The HR Department Manager serves as the trusted single point of contact for all human‑resources matters within a defined country or region. Partnering closely with the local leadership team, the role ensures compliance with local regulations, supports business continuity and growth, and reinforces a high‑performance culture across the remit.

Key responsibilities

• Implement HR processes, policies and systems in collaboration with the local HR team and global HR networks.
• Oversee the full employee life‑cycle, including organizational design, workforce planning, learning & development, performance management, reward, payroll, talent management and employee engagement.
• Ensure legal compliance with local labor laws and manage collective and individual cases, including disciplinary actions.
• Maintain strong relationships with local authorities, unions and social partners.
• Drive continuous improvement of HR processes, systems and data quality, using analytics to monitor impact on performance.
• Lead internal transformation initiatives and champion change adoption.
• Manage, develop and allocate resources for the HR team, including budgeting and roadmap planning.
• Coach managers to enhance team and individual performance.
• Collaborate with Global HR Business Partners to align strategies and provide feedback for improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field; MBA or Master’s in HRM is a plus.
• 10+ years of HR experience with a proven leadership track record.
• Excellent communication and conflict‑resolution skills.
• In‑depth knowledge of local labor legislation and employment regulations.
