HR Department Manager

About the role

The HR Department Manager acts as the trusted single point of contact for a defined country or regional scope, partnering with senior leadership to align human‑resources initiatives with business goals. This role ensures compliance with local regulations, drives performance culture, and supports continuous growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the local HR team and collaborate with operational stakeholders and the Country General Manager.
• Implement HR processes, policies and systems in partnership with the Global HR Business and expertise network.
• Oversee the full employee life‑cycle, including workforce planning, learning and development, performance management, reward, payroll and talent management.
• Ensure legal compliance with local labor laws and manage collective and individual cases, disciplinary actions and contractual matters.
• Maintain high‑quality relationships with local authorities, unions and social partners.
• Monitor HR data quality, analyse impact on performance and provide insights for decision‑making.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field; MBA or Master’s in HRM is a plus.
• Minimum 10 years of HR experience with a proven leadership track record.
• Strong communication, conflict‑resolution abilities and deep knowledge of local employment legislation.
• Demonstrated capability to coach managers, drive organizational change and foster employee engagement.
