Direct Sales Agent - Internet Packages

About the role

Digicel is looking for a Direct Sales Agent in Paramaribo within its Consumer Sales division, reporting to the D+ Manager. The agent introduces residents to ultra-fast internet, manages their own territory and has the potential for uncapped earnings.

Key responsibilities

• Direct sales and prospecting: canvass assigned neighbourhoods door-to-door to acquire new customers for Digicel internet packages.
• Consultative selling: assess customer needs and explain the benefits of the technology compared with traditional connections.
• Become an expert on plans, pricing, installation and competitive advantages.
• Generate leads, follow up on initial contacts and close sales.
• Record all customer interactions, sales and data accurately in the company tablet or smartphone app.
• Guide customers through a simple sign-up process and ensure paperwork is completed and submitted on time.
• Share field feedback on customer concerns, competitor activity and community opportunities.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Persuasive, friendly and professional face-to-face communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Previous sales experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Intermediate computer skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Selling, negotiation and telephone techniques.
• Written and spoken communication.
