Senior Reliability Technician

About the role

The Mine Maintenance department at Rosebel Gold Mines is looking for a Senior Reliability Technician to ensure the reliability and availability of all mobile equipment on site. You will collaborate closely with the maintenance team to identify issues, develop preventive programs, and drive continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and control the execution of mobile equipment inspections, ensuring safety, timeliness, and quality.
• Perform root‑cause analysis of safety‑related, repetitive, and low‑hour component failures to prevent recurrence.
• Validate the completeness and quality of backlogs and inspection reports generated after each inspection.
• Provide troubleshooting and diagnostic support for equipment failures when required.
• Manage the Defect Elimination Program to deliver consistent, reliable data.
• Train and mentor junior technicians, sharing best practices and technical knowledge.

Required profile

• Technical Higher Secondary School (DCS/NATIN/AMTO) Diploma in Mechanical Trade.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mobile fleet maintenance within the mining industry.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance and reliability best practices.
• Experience with root‑cause analysis and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and maintenance/equipment reliability software.
• Willingness to work a rotational schedule of 14 days on / 7 days off.
• Good written and verbal communication in Dutch and English; Mandarin is an asset.
• Ability to provide a Police Clearance Certificate if selected.
