Project Manager – Industrial Construction & Maintenance

About the role

Airswift is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead industrial construction, maintenance and equipment rental projects for a client in Suriname. The role involves overseeing the full project lifecycle, ensuring safe execution and compliance with client and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement project execution plans, schedules, budgets, resource and mobilization strategies.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, installation, QA/QC, HSE, logistics and commissioning activities.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams including supervisors, engineers, planners, QA/QC and HSE professionals, construction crews and subcontractors.
• Monitor schedule, productivity, labor and equipment utilization, costs, forecasts and overall financial performance.
• Control project costs, preserve planned margins and manage change orders.
• Identify and mitigate schedule delays, budget overruns, technical issues and contractual risks.
• Prepare progress reports, conduct project review meetings and ensure quality inspections and final handover.
• Lead project closeout, commercial reconciliation and lessons‑learned documentation.

Required profile

• Higher education degree and fluency in English.
• Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent).
• Experience delivering projects in oil & gas, energy, mining or industrial sectors.
• Proven track record with multidisciplinary construction scopes such as mechanical, piping, structural steel, fabrication, equipment installation and E&I commissioning.
• Familiarity with international engineering and construction standards.
