Project Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Project Engineer to lead the design, planning and execution of infrastructure projects in the mining sector. The role involves ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop engineering solutions, prepare project plans, specifications and technical designs.
• Support senior engineers by reviewing designs, identifying improvements and providing guidance.
• Lead project planning, schedule development, cost control and reporting.
• Manage the full project lifecycle from feasibility studies through commissioning and hand‑over.
• Coordinate execution with contractors, engineering teams and operations.
• Oversee procurement, tendering, contract administration and contractor performance.
• Ensure tailings management compliance through inspections, monitoring and reporting.
• Lead commissioning, hand‑over activities and capture lessons learned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mining, Civil, Geotechnical or related engineering.
• 3–5 years of engineering and project management experience.
• Knowledge of tailings management and mining operations.
• Strong communication skills in English and ability to work in a multicultural environment.
