Plant Attendant – Petroleum Depot Operations

About the role

The Plant Attendant ensures safe and efficient handling, storage, transfer, and loading of petroleum products at the depot. The role involves operating valves, pumps, meters and maintaining accurate documentation while adhering to HSEQ standards.

Key responsibilities

• Load road tank wagons (RTWs) and record metered volumes against delivery documents.
• Gauge storage tanks, log product levels, and verify product grades during transfers.
• Operate and inspect meters, pumps, valves, and loading arms, reporting any defects.
• Maintain accurate loading logs, vehicle records, and shift reports.
• Follow HSEQ guidelines, report spills or incidents, and participate in safety meetings.

Required profile

• Secondary education with a technical college qualification and 3‑5 years experience in an industrial facility.
• Computer literate with mechanical and electrical aptitude, able to self‑plan and work well in a team.
