Outside Sales Representative

About the role

CMA CGM is looking for an Outside Sales Representative in Paramaribo, Suriname, reporting directly to the GM. The role focuses on prospecting and acquiring new clients outside the office, building relationships, holding meetings and presenting product or service offerings to drive revenue growth and expand the customer base.

Key responsibilities

• Take part in setting up the commercial action plan
• Plan and carry out commercial visits and phone calls according to the agency sales segmentation (visits for Outside Sales, mainly calls for Inside Sales)
• Promote CMA CGM Group services and non-maritime products such as e-commerce, VAS, intermodal and CEVA
• Identify commercial market opportunities, develop market share and improve revenues in line with the commercial strategy
• Update commercial data and customer feedback in the CRM (opportunities, leads, contacts)
• Meet targets in SVPC (sales visits and phone calls) and qualitative targets monitored in Analytics
• Pass pricing requests from customers to Sales Support and other customer requests to Customer Care

Required profile

• At least three years of sales experience, including customer-facing activities
• Experience in shipping is an asset
• Good relationship management, professional demeanour, positive attitude and stress management
• Problem-solving, conflict resolution, prioritisation and time management
• Understanding of the CMA-CGM group organisation, processes and tools
• Fluent Dutch and English; able to write reports and give presentations
• Reliable access to a vehicle is an asset
