GIS Data Analyst

About the role

The GIS Data Analyst will support the GranMorgu greenfield project by managing, visualising and analysing geographic data across the offshore development. You will work closely with HSE, operations and engineering teams to ensure accurate spatial information for drilling, injection, and emergency response activities.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and manage geographic data, performing advanced spatial analyses, thematic mapping and geodesic calculations.
• Maintain and update geodatabases, integrating public and proprietary datasets from Suriname and the Caribbean Sea.
• Develop smart geospatial solutions for HSE and operations, including common operating pictures, vessel tracking, geofencing, and security asset monitoring.
• Act as focal point for emergency‑cell exercises, providing timely spatial updates for internal teams and authorities.
• Support environmental and social permitting by preparing geospatial deliverables and ensuring quality control.
• Maintain a high‑quality subsea layout reference and ensure data governance, standardisation and retention.
• Deploy and maintain web‑map platforms for visualisation and contribute to asset‑management dashboards (T‑MORE, Power BI, ArcGIS, Galigeo).
• Document processes, best practices and manage access rights to web‑map resources.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of HSEQ and sustainability principles in an offshore environment.
• Proven experience managing large geospatial datasets and delivering cartographic products.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and support emergency response activities.
