Supervisor, Project Engineering

About the role

The Supervisor, Project Engineering will lead the engineering function for the Merian Project, ensuring that construction, electrical and mechanical initiatives are delivered safely, on schedule and within budget while meeting quality and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and present detailed project performance reports covering safety, cost and schedule metrics to senior management.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project execution and business readiness plans to support smooth transition from design to operation.
• Prepare budgets, cost estimates and capital investment documentation (e.g., Investment Review Packages) for funding approvals.
• Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary team of engineers and supervisors, providing technical guidance and performance feedback.
• Oversee construction, electrical and mechanical projects with a focus on sustainable capital development and environmental stewardship.
• Coordinate with procurement and supply‑chain teams to ensure timely delivery of materials aligned with project schedules.
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement and change‑management activities to support project adoption.
• Conduct engineering reviews of drawings and technical data from consultants, contractors or suppliers to ensure compliance with project requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, mining or civil engineering.
• Proven experience supervising engineering teams in a mining or construction environment.
• Knowledge of relevant health, safety and technical statutory regulations.
• Familiarity with mining operations and project lifecycles.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AutoCAD for civil drafting.
• Advanced computer literacy in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
