Projects Coordinator

About the role

PBS Suriname is seeking a Projects Coordinator to lead the full lifecycle of technical projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope and budget while meeting strict HSE, quality, legal and corporate standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, execute and close projects, managing budgets, timelines and resources.
• Identify, assess and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain full compliance with Health, Safety, Environment (HSE), quality, legal and company requirements.
• Oversee and continuously improve the organization’s HSE management system, conducting audits, inspections and incident investigations.
• Promote a strong safety culture and provide HSE training and guidance to staff.
• Support adherence to standards such as ISO 37001 (Anti‑Bribery Management System).
• Maintain accurate project documentation, reports and records.
• Liaise with internal teams, clients, contractors and regulatory bodies.
• Report project progress, HSE performance and compliance metrics to senior management.

Required profile

• Recognized project management certification (e.g., PMP) – preferred.
• HSE or Occupational Safety qualification.
• Risk Assessment / Risk Management qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, operations, engineering or technical services.
• Experience in IT, telecommunications, ATM, electrical or related technical environments is an advantage.
• Proven experience managing contractors and field personnel.
• Hands‑on experience with HSE management systems.
