Operations Supervisor – Oil & Gas Logistics

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to lead and coordinate operational activities for a logistics and equipment rental company serving the oil and gas industry in Suriname. The role ensures safe, efficient and timely delivery of equipment and services to offshore and on‑shore projects while complying with industry standards and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day equipment rental and service operations supporting drilling, completions and production activities.
• Plan and manage mobilization and demobilization of equipment to offshore and on‑shore locations.
• Ensure compliance with HSEQ standards, Suriname regulatory requirements and client‑specific procedures.
• Coordinate logistics including transportation, yard management and inventory control.
• Monitor equipment maintenance schedules and readiness for deployment.
• Liaise with clients, vendors and internal teams to guarantee operational excellence and timely execution.
• Prepare operational reports covering job progress, resource utilization and cost tracking.
• Identify and implement process improvements to optimise efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Train and mentor operational staff to maintain high performance and a strong safety culture.
• Support emergency response and incident management as required.

Required profile

• Professional experience in operations within the oil and gas sector, preferably in rental services or drilling support.
• Solid knowledge of offshore and on‑shore logistics and equipment handling.
• Familiarity with Suriname local regulations and international standards.
• Proven leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Technical training or certification in operations management is a plus.
