Mine Technology Technician

About the role

Rosebel Gold Mines is looking for a Mine Technology Technician to join the Mine Technical Services Department. The role focuses on supporting the implementation, operation and maintenance of Wenco and other critical mine technology hardware and software systems at the Brokopondo site.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with installation, configuration and troubleshooting of Wenco and related mine technology systems.
• Perform routine maintenance, system updates and performance checks to ensure reliable operation.
• Collaborate with the Mine Technical Services team to identify, analyse and resolve technical issues.
• Provide technical support and user training for effective use of mine technology systems.
• Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, updates and interventions.

Required profile

• Higher Secondary Education diploma in NATIN Elektrotechniek and WTB or a related field.
• Minimum two years of experience with installation, configuration and troubleshooting of technology systems.
• Strong knowledge of safety protocols, mobile systems support, large‑scale system upgrades and digital network communications.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in Dutch and English.
• Valid Surinamese driver’s licence and willingness to work on a 14‑day on‑site rotational schedule.
