Loadout & Logistics Coordinator (Material Man)

About the role

Brunel is seeking a Loadout & Logistics Coordinator (Material Man) for a 3-year contract with a client in the oil and gas industry. The post is based onshore in Paramaribo, Suriname, on a rotational 28x28 schedule, and covers the coordination and supervision of drilling and completions equipment logistics, from contractor bases and quayside facilities to offshore locations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end loadout activities for drilling, completions, fluids and cement equipment.
• Ensure materials are identified, inspected, documented and released for shipment.
• Verify cargo documentation, CCU identification, barcodes, load manifests and vessel assignments.
• Coordinate with contractors, service companies, Drilling Superintendents, Logistics and Marine Operations teams.
• Monitor critical and urgent materials so shipment priorities match offshore operational needs.
• Maintain cargo traceability, inventory records, loadout procedures and shipment documentation.
• Coordinate backload materials, including repair, maintenance, disposal and stock reintegration.
• Take part in HSE activities, risk assessments, safety meetings and logistics-related incident investigations.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in oil and gas logistics, materials management and drilling operations.
• Proven experience in shore-base logistics, rig logistics, loadout coordination and offshore material transfers.
• Knowledge of drilling, completions, fluids and workover equipment.
• Experience with CCU management, lifting operations, marine logistics and pipe-yard activities.
• Background in inventory control, stock management and material reception.
• Experience coordinating contractors, service companies, port facilities and marine operations.
• Fluent English (written and spoken); Dutch and French are a plus.

Required skills

• SAP for materials, inventory and logistics management.
• Strong HSE awareness and experience with risk assessments and safety procedures.
