HR Department Manager

About the role

The HR Department Manager acts as the trusted single point of contact for HR matters within a defined country or region. Partnering with local leadership, the role ensures compliance with regulations, drives business continuity, and fosters a performance‑focused culture.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the local HR team and collaborate with operational stakeholders and the Country General Manager.
• Implement HR processes, policies, and systems in partnership with Global HR Business and expertise networks.
• Oversee the full employee life‑cycle, including workforce planning, learning & development, performance management, reward, payroll, talent management and employee engagement.
• Ensure legal compliance with local labor laws and manage collective and individual cases, including disciplinary actions.
• Maintain high‑quality relationships with local authorities, unions and social partners.
• Monitor and improve HR data quality, using analytics to support decision‑making and track performance.
• Drive internal transformation initiatives and ensure adoption across the location.
• Manage team resources, budget, roadmap and deliverables while coaching managers to boost performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field; MBA or Master’s in HRM is a plus.
• 10+ years of HR experience with a proven leadership track record.
• Strong communication, conflict‑resolution abilities and deep knowledge of local employment legislation.
