About the role

The Customs Manager at VIP TALENT will lead daily customs operations, ensuring compliance with both local and international regulations. This full‑time, onsite position is based in Suriname and involves coordinating import and export activities while maintaining smooth flow of goods.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise daily customs procedures for the company.
• Prepare and manage all documentation required for imports and exports.
• Review tariff classifications and verify accurate calculation of duties and taxes.
• Collaborate with customs agents, authorities, logistics, and finance teams to ensure efficient cargo movement.
• Lead resolution of border incidents and optimize customs processes.
• Produce control and monitoring reports for senior management.

Required profile

• Proven experience in customs management and import/export coordination.
• Strong knowledge of international customs regulations, tariff classification, trade agreements, and special customs regimes.
• Leadership abilities, organizational skills, decision‑making capacity, and conflict‑management experience in dynamic environments.
• Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and proficiency with office tools and customs management systems.
• University degree in International Trade, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
• Advanced English proficiency; additional languages are a plus.
