Finance and Supply Chain Officer

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Finance and Supply Chain Officer to support commissary (PX) operations at a mining camp in Suriname. The role combines finance, procurement and warehouse responsibilities to ensure smooth financial and supply‑chain processes.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate supplier payments, invoice reconciliation and resolve discrepancies with the Finance Department.
• Manage Suriname VAT filings, corporate tax, wage tax and pension contributions in line with statutory requirements.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation for audits and compliance reviews.
• Create, process and administer purchase requisitions, purchase orders and blanket purchase orders in the ERP system.
• Obtain quotations, delivery schedules and product specifications from suppliers; support supplier selection and contract negotiations.
• Verify supplier invoices against purchase orders, contracts, packing lists and Goods Receipt Notes before payment.
• Oversee receiving, inspection, storage, issuance and stock movement; record all transactions in the ERP/WMS system.
• Conduct regular stock counts, cycle counts and inventory audits; investigate discrepancies and implement corrective actions.

Required profile

• Qualification in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• 2‑3 years of relevant experience in finance, accounts payable, procurement and warehouse operations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with an ERP system.
