Finance Analyst

About the role

Newmont Suriname is seeking a Finance Analyst to support informed financial decision‑making for the Merian Project and corporate operations. The role involves preparing accurate financial reports, maintaining data records, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver timely financial statements to support business decisions.
• Collate, reconcile, and verify financial data for accuracy and completeness.
• Monitor budget expenditures and provide regular updates to partners.
• Process invoices and payments in line with company policies.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Maintain financial databases, filing systems, and transaction records.
• Coordinate internal and external financial audits.
• Produce detailed financial reports and summaries for performance evaluation.

Required profile

• Formal education in finance, accounting, economics, or business administration.
• Experience with financial reporting standards and financial modeling.
• Strong analytical and detail‑oriented mindset.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
