Executive Vice President (EVP) Finance – Insurance & Investments

About the role

The Executive Vice President (EVP) Finance is a senior enterprise‑level finance leader responsible for shaping and executing the financial strategy across the Group’s insurance, investment, asset‑management and related financial‑services businesses. Reporting to the Group CFO and working closely with the CEO, Board and business‑unit heads, the EVP drives profitability, capital efficiency and long‑term value creation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead enterprise‑wide financial strategy, planning, budgeting, forecasting and performance management.
• Provide executive oversight of financial performance across subsidiaries, business units and investment platforms.
• Drive Group‑wide FP&A, management reporting, financial modelling and commercial finance.
• Monitor revenue, profitability, expenses, margins, cash flow, ROE, ROIC and return on capital.
• Oversee financial management of insurance operations, including premiums, claims, reserves, reinsurance and underwriting performance.
• Provide financial leadership for investment and asset‑management businesses, covering portfolio reporting, valuation, investment income and cost management.
• Lead strategic capital planning, capital allocation, solvency, liquidity and balance‑sheet optimisation.
• Supervise treasury, funding, cash management and liquidity planning.
• Establish and strengthen Group‑wide financial governance, internal controls, accounting policies and risk‑management frameworks.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax, insurance, investment and statutory reporting requirements.
• Lead financial evaluation and due diligence for M&A, acquisitions, joint ventures and strategic investments.
• Partner with Investment, Actuarial, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Treasury and Operations on major strategic decisions.
• Drive enterprise‑wide cost optimisation, operational efficiency and profitability improvement.
• Lead finance transformation initiatives, including ERP modernisation, automation, AI/data analytics, dashboards and digital finance.
• Maintain senior relationships with regulators, auditors, investors, lenders, rating agencies and other financial stakeholders.

Required profile

• Extensive senior finance leadership experience, preferably in insurance, investment or asset‑management environments.
• Proven track record of developing and executing enterprise‑level financial strategy and capital‑allocation decisions.
• Strong ability to work with C‑suite executives, Boards and senior business leaders.
• Deep understanding of insurance underwriting, claims, reserves and reinsurance mechanics.
• Expertise in investment portfolio reporting, valuation and performance analysis.
• Demonstrated experience in treasury, liquidity management and balance‑sheet optimisation.
• Experience leading large‑scale finance transformation, ERP implementation and data‑analytics initiatives.
• Excellent governance, risk‑management and regulatory compliance acumen.
