Drilling & Completion Superintendent

About the role

The Drilling & Completion Superintendent will ensure operational readiness and support drilling and completion activities for IOTA GROUP’s projects in Suriname. The role contributes to delivering wells on time, within budget, and meeting HSE and performance objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide operational support for drilling and completion activities.
• Review drilling and well programs to ensure compliance with approved plans.
• Manage Management of Change processes when required.
• Lead daily operational calls and maintain continuous communication with offshore teams.
• Review, distribute and follow up on daily reports and rig action lists.
• Coordinate with logistics to guarantee equipment readiness.
• Liaise with service companies to secure personnel and equipment availability.
• Participate in lessons‑learned and performance‑optimization activities.
• Motivate, evaluate and develop offshore personnel, and plan workforce needs.
• Ensure HSE objectives are cascaded and that drilling, completion and workover activities comply with safety, environmental and QHSE standards.
• Contribute to emergency response as part of the operational response team.

Required profile

• Technical or engineering background, Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• More than 5 years of experience as a Drilling & Completion Superintendent or in a similar operational role.
• Strong knowledge of offshore drilling and completion operations, especially in deep‑water environments.
• Good understanding of drilling processes, operational methods, HSE requirements and well‑control practices.
• Excellent coordination, leadership and communication abilities.
• Fluent English.
