Security Guard

About the role

The Security Guard position is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Paramaribo, Suriname. You will be responsible for monitoring premises, patrolling designated areas, and controlling access to ensure the safety of people, property, and information.

Key responsibilities

• Verify identification of visitors and employees, and manage access control points.
• Observe, report, and respond to suspicious activities, alarms, and incidents according to established protocols.
• Interact professionally with clients, visitors, and staff, providing clear instructions during emergencies.
• Prepare accurate incident and activity reports after each shift.

Required profile

• Strong physical and private security skills for effective monitoring and patrolling.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer‑service abilities to communicate clearly and de‑escalate conflicts.
• Situational awareness, attention to detail, and ability to follow security procedures and regulations.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and work variable shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Required skills

• Relevant experience in security, law enforcement, military, or a related field.
• High school diploma or equivalent, clean background check, and compliance with local licensing or certification requirements.
