Repair & Maintenance Technician – Intervention Services & Drilling Tools

About the role

The Repair & Maintenance Technician will work hands‑on with Weatherford’s facilities, equipment and drilling tools to ensure they are inspected, repaired and ready for the next field assignment. The role covers the full lifecycle of tools – from receipt, disassembly and refurbishment to final testing and documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in daily safety meetings, toolbox talks and complete Job Hazard Analyses.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and keep equipment in good condition.
• Repair machines, structures and tools using hand tools, power tools and precision measuring instruments.
• Inspect parts with calipers, micrometres and other gauges to verify dimensional compliance.
• Execute maintenance processes: unloading, disassembly, cleaning, pressure testing, visual inspection, painting, assembly, loading and storage.
• Complete all required documentation, work orders, AIRTs, PFTs and checklists according to training level.
• Operate lifting equipment, including forklifts and cranes, and handle pallets and containers safely.
• Receive incoming shipments, validate quantities and prepare outbound shipments.
• Order parts and supplies following Weatherford’s procurement procedures.
• Support Lean initiatives and continuous improvement programs.

Required profile

• 2‑4+ years of electrical and/or mechanical experience.
• Certification to operate lifting equipment such as forklifts and cranes.
• Ability to follow safety protocols, attend meetings and complete hazard analyses.
• Proficiency in reading technical manuals, work instructions and maintenance procedures.
