Field Operations Engineer (Resident, Paramaribo)

About the role

The affiliate is expanding its activities around the development of Block 58 (GranMorgu) and is about to start building up production operations. It needs a resident Field Operations Engineer based in Paramaribo who will help prepare a team ready for local operations. The position involves frequent travel when required.

Key responsibilities

• HSE: strengthen the affiliate's HSE policy, promote safety and environmental protection, support HSE reporting in the FOPS Management Tool and take part in HSE training and campaigns
• Production support: help set up production support in Suriname, implement, control and improve the FOPS Management Tool, and support the integration of GranMorgu into the affiliate's FOMS contracts
• Contracts and planning: set up onshore routines for managing FPSO contracts, create dashboards and tools for integrated operating planning, generate monthly dashboards, and support the annual FOPS work program covering production, maintenance, inspection and planned shutdowns
• Budget: support the preparation of operations budgets (IB and LTP) and CPI and OPEX exercises before final review
• Management system: contribute to the sustainability of the Field Operation Management System, organise FOPS documents on SharePoint, and help define annual objectives for HSE, production and budget
• Participate in field operations studies, audits and inspections, and support interfaces for new projects and developments

Required profile

• BSc Engineering degree (chemistry, mechanical or mechatronics)
• Previous experience as an industry trainee is desirable
• Dynamism, openness, team spirit and multiculturalism
• Native Surinamese speaker; intermediate English, able to write and follow meetings

Required skills

• Knowledge of industrial methods and processes, planning tools and/or processing equipment is desirable
• Microsoft Office, good Excel, basic PowerBI and VBA programming
