SSR ROV Technician – Offshore (Suriname)

About the role

We are looking for an entry‑level SSR ROV Technician to support offshore operations in Suriname. The role involves operating and maintaining Remotely Operated Vehicles and associated subsea equipment, with full training provided.

Key responsibilities

• Operate ROVs, cameras, acoustic positioning, sonars, manipulators and launch‑and‑recovery systems safely.
• Assist or pilot the ROV, evaluate environmental conditions, dock/undock from the tether management system and navigate using acoustic, sonar and visual cues.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on electronic, electrical, mechanical and hydraulic subsystems, including calibration and alignment.
• Operate and service hydraulic power units, pumps, valves and related transmission equipment.
• Interface with subsea navigation tools such as magnetic compass, gyro, transducer and altimeter.
• Integrate and operate subsea tooling (cutters, pump units, skids, dredging systems, sensors).
• Maintain inventory of parts and supplies for all assemblies.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science or Engineering degree (or Technical/Associates degree).
• 6‑12 months formal training in mechanical/hydraulic systems and 6‑12 months in electrical/electronic systems, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to obtain a valid passport and any required offshore work documents.
• Willingness to work outdoors/indoors, day and night, in high humidity and noisy environments.
