Drill Support Vessel Superintendent

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Drill Support Vessel Superintendent to lead onshore and offshore supervision of vessel activities for development projects based in Paramaribo, Suriname. The role involves planning, coordinating and executing vessel operations while ensuring safety, compliance and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Provide onshore and offshore supervision and coordination of Drill Support Vessel activities.
• Act as the focal point for planning, preparation and execution of vessel mobilization, personnel, contractors and third‑party equipment.
• Coordinate all offshore COMOPS and SIMOPS activities across Marine, Drilling, Completion, Subsea, UFR, Field Operations, Geomatics, HSE and Contractors.
• Lead vessel mobilization, operational readiness reviews, engineering assessments, risk evaluations and integration activities.
• Represent the vessel onboard, ensuring safe, compliant and efficient marine operations.
• Plan and execute vessel support for drilling, subsea, completion and field operations, including ROV systems, lifting equipment and service companies.
• Review operational programs, risk assessments, lifting plans and readiness requirements before execution.
• Monitor vessel performance, minimize non‑productive time and ensure timely escalation of operational risks.
• Serve as RSES(D) onboard, coordinate emergency response and ensure compliance with HSE, marine standards and international regulations.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience as Vessel Superintendent or Client Representative on offshore construction/support vessels.
• At least 5 years experience coordinating COMOPS/SIMOPS.
• Offshore experience in drilling, subsea construction, ROV or marine operations.
• Valid BOSIET and offshore medical certification.
• Fluent English.
