Security Superintendent – Mine Site

About the role

Lead and coordinate mine site security and surveillance activities to protect employees, assets, and goods, while ensuring effective emergency preparedness and response.

Key responsibilities

• Manage security operations, personnel, resources, and site security strategies.
• Oversee surveillance, access control, perimeter protection, and security systems.
• Coordinate enhanced security measures for gold refining, transportation, and other high‑risk activities.
• Develop and maintain emergency preparedness, crisis response, and security procedures.
• Investigate and report security incidents, suspicious activities, and policy violations.
• Monitor security performance, maintain accurate records, and identify areas for improvement.
• Lead, train, and develop the security team, ensuring adequate staffing and emergency coverage.
• Ensure compliance with company security, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Diploma or certificate in Security, Law Enforcement, or related field; First Aid certification preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant mine site security experience, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience in crisis management, emergency response, crowd/riot control, and security systems.
• Strong knowledge of security protocols and emergency preparedness.
• Experience working in multicultural environments.
• Calm under pressure with strong leadership, communication, and decision‑making skills.
• Bachelor’s degree.
