Operator Assistant – Cementing (Paramaribo, Suriname)

About the role

Join a leading global energy services provider as an Operator Assistant – Cementing in Paramaribo. You will support rigging‑up and rigging‑down of cementing equipment, learn core oil‑well operations, and contribute to safe, efficient cementing services on site.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with rigging‑up and rigging‑down of cementing service equipment, including spotting storage vessels and setting up data monitoring tools.
• Support cement pumping, blending, liquid additive metering, centrifugal pumps, and Automatic Density Control (ADC) systems.
• Help operate manifold equipment, bulk cement blending, storage, and cementing plug releasing tools.
• Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections and complete associated paperwork.
• Follow hazardous‑materials, wash‑up, and discharge procedures and verify correct valve line‑ups.

Required profile

• Associate degree in mechanical, electrical, or related technical field.
• At least 1 year of experience rigging‑up/down cementing equipment (0‑6 months acceptable for entry level).
• Residence in Suriname and advanced English proficiency.
• Valid commercial driver’s licence (if required) and a proactive, “can‑do” attitude.
