Junior Marketer (Part‑time, On‑site)

About the role

The Junior Marketer will work part‑time on‑site in Centrum, Paramaribo, supporting SuriMarine’s digital presence and market research activities. You will collaborate closely with the CEO and Head of Local Content and Training, ensuring all communications reflect the company’s brand and voice.

Key responsibilities

• Create and schedule content for LinkedIn, email newsletters and website updates following brand guidelines.
• Support market research on client industries and the Surinamese and Guyanese markets, turning findings into clear messages and simple visual assets.
• Plan and monitor basic marketing campaigns, track performance metrics, and maintain the marketing calendar and documentation.
• Prepare client‑facing materials such as case studies, capability statements and presentations.
• Work closely with senior leadership to ensure all outgoing communications are consistent with SuriMarine’s style.

Required profile

• Foundational knowledge of digital and social media marketing, especially LinkedIn.
• Strong content creation abilities – concise copy and basic visual design.
• Research and analysis skills for gathering and summarising market information.
• Excellent written and spoken English; Dutch is a plus.
• Organisational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks under deadlines.
• Interest in international business and the energy, maritime or industrial sectors, and willingness to learn about Surinamese and Guyanese markets.
