Senior Production Engineer (Non-operating)

About the role

As a Senior Production Engineer (Non‑operating) you will provide technical expertise for deepwater production operations and field development. You will work with multidisciplinary asset teams to optimise production, improve well performance and ensure safe, HSE‑compliant offshore projects.

Key responsibilities

• Advise asset teams on well start‑up, ramp‑up, gas‑lift operations, flow assurance and well‑intervention for deepwater assets.
• Develop and maintain wellbore and surface network models to support field development, production forecasting and operational decisions.
• Review production strategies and mitigation plans for scale, corrosion, hydrate and emulsion management.
• Support production start‑up, surveillance, well optimisation and workover programmes throughout offshore projects.
• Ensure all production activities comply with HSE standards while providing technical guidance to project teams.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Reservoir Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in deepwater production engineering.
• Proven experience supporting offshore field development and major capital projects, especially during start‑up and commissioning.
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.

Required skills

• Production modelling software: IPM, GAP, PROSPER, PIPESIM.
• Integrated production modelling and wellbore/surface network modelling.
• Production optimisation: well start‑up, ramp‑up, gas‑lift, well interventions, production surveillance.
• Flow‑assurance expertise: hydrate management, scale inhibition, corrosion inhibition, emulsion mitigation, chemical treatment strategies.
• Advanced production engineering knowledge: NODAL analysis, formation damage, subsurface integrity planning, well testing, well optimisation.
