Senior Fluids Supervisor

About the role

Brunel is looking for a Senior Fluids Supervisor to join a major oil and gas client on a two‑year offshore contract in Suriname. The role operates on a 28‑day on/28‑day off rotation, providing technical leadership for all fluids‑related activities.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise drilling fluids, cementing, mud displacement, formation integrity tests and other fluids operations offshore.
• Execute fluids and cement programs, identify deviations, manage changes and support drilling supervisors technically.
• Coordinate planning and logistics for chemicals, bulk materials, equipment, WBCO and other resources.
• Perform onsite quality control of drilling fluids, cementing services and waste management in line with approved programs.
• Monitor service providers for performance, quality, contractual compliance and cost optimisation.
• Track waste generation, verify treatment and report solids‑control equipment failures.
• Prepare daily operational reports, contribute to end‑of‑week reports and share lessons learned.
• Liaise with FSI and drilling supervisors on fluids matters and ensure HSE compliance with company standards and regulations.

Required profile

• Operational or engineering degree (BSc or MSc) in a relevant field.
• Experience in offshore drilling fluids and cementing, including deep‑water projects.
• Valid offshore certificates (BOSIET, OGUK/OEUK) and fluent English.
