Safety and Environment Delegate for Offshore Installation Vessel

About the role

The Safety and Environment Delegate (RSES‑D) will represent TotalEnergies on offshore installation vessels for the GranMorgu project in Suriname. The role ensures compliance with TotalEnergies HSE standards, manages change processes, and acts as the primary safety focal point during operations and emergencies.

Key responsibilities

• Apply TotalEnergies HSE standards and safety culture onboard J‑Lay, S‑Lay, PLSV and MSV vessels.
• Supervise offshore operations, verify implementation of approved procedures, and manage any modifications through the Management of Change process.
• Provide daily reports to the SURF Installation Manager, sign Ready‑for‑Installation certificates, and ensure traceability of subsea equipment.
• Coordinate emergency response, SIMOPS activities, and HIRA Level 2 risk analyses.

Required profile

• Engineer or Offshore Supervisor with at least 15 years of oil‑and‑gas experience, preferably on major EPCI projects.
• Strong knowledge of TotalEnergies CR, GS, Surinamese offshore regulations, and SIMOPS/HSE rules.
• Excellent communication, team‑working abilities and willingness to assume high responsibility.

Required skills

• BOSIET, T‑BOSIET, FOET, MEMIR, GSES, CTA (Cause Tree Analysis) certifications.
• Experience with offshore operations: riser pull‑in/pull‑out, flexible and rigid pipelay, lazy‑wave and SHR riser construction, and vessel types such as PLSV, OSR.
• Proficiency in HIRA, Management of Change, and emergency response planning.
