Responsible for Safety & Environment on Site

About the role

Airswift is seeking a Safety & Environment Lead for a major offshore SURF development project in Suriname. The role ensures the highest HSE standards on installation vessels during construction and installation activities.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and enforce a strong safety culture across all offshore activities.
• Monitor offshore installation operations, including pipelay, flexible installation, subsea works, lifting, pre‑commissioning and testing.
• Implement approved procedures and manage changes through the Management of Change process.
• Coordinate SIMOPS/COMOPS activities and support emergency response preparedness onboard.
• Review operational reports, identify non‑conformances and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Provide regular reporting and communication to the project management team.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of Oil & Gas experience with strong exposure to SURF projects.
• Previous experience in major EPCI developments and offshore installation vessels.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.

Required skills

• BOSIET / T‑BOSIET / FOET certifications.
• Offshore medical certification (OGUK or equivalent) and Seaman's Book.
• CA‑EBS OPITO and additional HSE/emergency management training.
• Experience with rigid pipelay, flexible lay, riser installation and subsea structures.
