Procurement Officer – Purchasing & Supplier Management

About the role

We are looking for a Procurement Officer to support the acquisition of goods and services, ensuring cost‑effectiveness, quality and compliance with company policies. The role reports to the Procurement Coordinator and works closely with suppliers, finance and warehouse teams.

Key responsibilities

• Raise and close purchase orders in the ERP system.
• Verify purchase orders, invoices and supplier documents for discrepancies in quantity, pricing and quality.
• Prepare, code and obtain approval for payment vouchers.
• Reconcile supplier statements with the sub‑ledger and monitor credit terms.
• Maintain records of pricing and other critical data.
• Review invoices from shipping companies.
• Verify received products with warehouse personnel before receipt.
• Participate in Hazard IDs, observations and scheduled inspections.
• Ensure compliance with HSSE standards and BOLD leadership behaviours.

Required profile

• University diploma in Accounting or Business Management.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement or purchasing.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Ability to work with limited supervision.
• Strong analytical and communication abilities.
• Team‑player attitude.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Windows, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience using ERP systems for purchase order processing.
• Ability to code and approve payment vouchers.
• Competence in reconciling supplier statements.
