Mine Superintendent – Lead Mining Operations

About the role

The Mine Superintendent is responsible for leading and overseeing all mine production activities to meet safe, efficient and cost‑effective ore extraction targets. This senior position provides strategic and operational leadership across planning, production, grade control, manpower, equipment, budgeting and cost management.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute mine production strategies, annual plans and targets.
• Oversee daily mining operations, monitoring performance, costs, quality and efficiency.
• Coordinate with technical services, engineering, maintenance, geology and other departments to optimise development and production.
• Review geological, survey and engineering data to support planning and decision‑making.
• Ensure compliance with mining legislation, company policies, health, safety and environmental standards.
• Identify and implement continuous‑improvement initiatives to boost productivity and reduce costs.
• Maintain adequate manpower, equipment and resources to achieve production goals.
• Lead, develop and manage the mine operations team, including performance management and training.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of mining experience, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Strong leadership, problem‑solving, decision‑making and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Chinese.
• Relevant professional certification or designation.
