Mine Geologist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Mine Geologist to join our open‑pit mining team, focusing on gold extraction. The role involves hands‑on field work, close collaboration with operations, planning, and processing plant teams, and a strong emphasis on grade control and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct pit face mapping and core logging to support accurate geological interpretation.
• Develop and maintain 3D geological models using software such as Datamine, Leapfrog, or Surpac.
• Design and oversee infill and definition drilling programs to refine orebody definition.
• Provide grade control management and ensure compliance with operational safety standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate geological data into mine planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Geology or Geological Engineering.
• Preferably 5+ years of experience in open‑pit mining, preferably gold mining.
• Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and a rigorous focus on safety.
• Ability to work independently in remote field environments and as part of a team.
