Mine Business Analyst – Finance Team

About the role

Rosebel Gold Mines is looking for a Mine Business Analyst to join its Finance team. You will analyse financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to support decision‑making and cost control across the mining operation.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the month‑end closing cycle and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting.
• Lead quarterly variance analyses, balance‑sheet reviews and prepare major cost variance reports.
• Perform ad‑hoc analyses for site management and corporate office, and produce monthly reconciliations.
• Promote a culture of cost control and ensure compliance with reporting standards such as IFRS.
• Maintain organized documentation for financial reports and respond to ad‑hoc requests from management and technical staff.
• Facilitate communication between Finance and mine‑site departments, visiting the site regularly to support internal controls and financial oversight.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a mining environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Dutch is required, Mandarin is an asset.
• Willingness to work on a rotational schedule of 5 days on site followed by 2 days off, primarily in Brokopondo.
• Ability to provide a Police Clearance Certificate upon selection.
