Lead Electrical & Instrumentation Reliability & Maintenance Engineer

About the role

The Lead Electrical & Instrumentation Reliability & Maintenance Engineer will head the RME department in Suriname, providing technical leadership, reliability engineering and maintenance optimisation for a residential facility. The role involves mentoring engineers, supporting projects and ensuring on‑site availability beyond regular hours.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Electrical and Instrumentation Engineers within the RME department.
• Provide technical leadership in reliability engineering, maintenance optimisation and troubleshooting.
• Support design improvements and engineering assistance for new installations.
• Lead projects, assign work, monitor progress and report outcomes.
• Provide on‑site support after official working hours when required.

Required profile

• 8–10 years of experience in Electrical & Instrumentation System Engineering, preferably in oil & gas.
• Strong background in reliability, maintenance and shutdown/turnaround/commissioning activities.
• Relevant certifications such as HV & LV Systems, CompEx, CMRP or BEPECT.
• Proficiency with SAP PM/EAM, IBM Maximo or Meridium APM.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
