Finance Director – Suriname

About the role

The Finance Director will lead and coordinate all financial activities in Suriname, ensuring compliance with corporate guidelines, local tax, customs and legislation. The role supports the organization’s strategy by delivering accurate financial reporting, managing treasury, budgeting and audit processes.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with corporate guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate local treasury, budgeting, accounting and purchasing units.
• Respond to statutory auditors and provide required documentation.
• Address information requests from tax and customs authorities.
• Monitor implementation of action plans, strategies and programs.
• Lead improvements in financial reporting processes.
• Analyze financial statements for reliable and timely presentation.
• Guide the financial team, defining responsibilities and roles.
• Monitor budget execution to meet targets.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Management, Economics or a financial specialization.
• Proven experience in managing financial units within large or medium‑size industrial production companies.
• Strong knowledge of Suriname tax, customs and financial legislation.
• Proficiency in English at B2 level or higher.
