Finance Director

About the role

We are seeking an experienced, commercially‑focused Finance Director to lead the financial management and performance of our insurance and investment businesses. Reporting to the CFO, you will provide accurate financial insight, ensure strong governance, and support strategic decision‑making across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the day‑to‑day finance function, translating business objectives into financial plans and performance targets.
• Oversee financial planning and analysis, including annual budgeting, forecasting, long‑term planning and variance analysis.
• Manage monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting, ensuring accurate management accounts, consolidated statements and statutory disclosures.
• Direct insurance finance activities, monitoring premiums, claims, reserves, underwriting performance and related ratios.
• Supervise investment finance and accounting, tracking portfolio performance, realized/unrealised gains and regulatory compliance.
• Control treasury and cash management, maintaining liquidity, banking relationships and monitoring interest‑rate, FX and liquidity exposures.
• Support capital planning and solvency monitoring, assisting the CFO with balance‑sheet management.

Required profile

• Significant experience in senior finance leadership, preferably within insurance and investment environments.
• Proven ability to translate strategic objectives into actionable financial plans and performance metrics.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and financial modelling.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with CFO, CEO, actuarial, risk and business leadership teams.
• Demonstrated track record of ensuring robust financial governance and regulatory compliance.
