Finance Associate

About the role

We are looking for a Finance Associate to join our Paramaribo office on a full‑time basis. You will support the day‑to‑day financial operations of Mijn Cijfers Op Orde N.V., ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with internal policies and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and file financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Analyse financial data, reconcile accounts and assist with budgeting and forecasting cycles.
• Maintain accurate financial records and support month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Respond to client and colleague inquiries, clarifying financial information as needed.
• Identify and propose process improvements to enhance the efficiency of the finance administration workflow.

Required profile

• Relevant diploma or degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
• Strong foundation in finance concepts and practical experience with financial statements.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and support decision‑making.
• Excellent communication skills and a high level of integrity when handling confidential data.
• Willingness to learn and develop in a dynamic, internationally‑oriented environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
