Warehouse Engineer – Optimize Operations & Technology

About the role

We are seeking a results‑driven Warehouse Engineer to enhance the efficiency, safety and reliability of our warehouse operations. You will apply engineering principles and data‑driven analysis to optimise layouts, processes and technology, working closely with warehouse teams and cross‑functional partners.

Key responsibilities

• Design and optimise warehouse layouts to improve space utilisation and operational flow.
• Analyse processes, identify bottlenecks and implement continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Develop, maintain and improve SOPs, work instructions and engineering standards.
• Lead Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S and other improvement methodologies within the warehouse.
• Support implementation, optimisation and continuous improvement of WMS, SAP, handheld devices, RFID and other digital technologies.
• Collect, analyse and visualise operational data to monitor KPIs and inform decisions.
• Manage selection, installation, maintenance and lifecycle of equipment such as forklifts, racking, conveyors, AS/RS and AGVs.
• Develop preventive‑maintenance plans and conduct routine inspections to enhance safety and efficiency.
• Coordinate material availability and readiness for major shutdowns and maintenance activities.
• Investigate end‑user concerns, perform root‑cause analysis and drive corrective actions.
• Organise optimisation meetings, inventory reviews and technical workshops.
• Monitor project schedules and ensure timely execution of improvement initiatives.
• Prepare technical reports, operational analyses and performance dashboards.
