Tool Technician – Completion Tools

About the role

Halliburton is seeking an entry‑level Tool Technician for its Completion Tools division in Paramaribo, Suriname. The position involves maintaining down‑hole tools, surface equipment and other production assets under close supervision while adhering to strict safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair tasks on down‑hole tools, surface equipment and related production hardware.
• Follow and promote Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) procedures, ensuring a safe work environment.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors in the oil‑field service setting.
• Execute basic mathematical calculations and complete required documentation.
• Participate actively in quality‑improvement initiatives and environmental awareness programs.

Required profile

• Associate degree in mechanical, electrical technology or a related field.
• Residence in Suriname is mandatory.
• Advanced proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
• Positive “can‑do” attitude, strong energy for learning and willingness to obtain a commercial vehicle licence if required.

Required skills

• Basic computer skills for data entry and equipment tracking.
• Ability to assemble and disassemble down‑hole and surface completion tools.
• Competence in basic mathematical operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
