Software Tester

About the role

As a Software Tester at Qualogy Caribbean you will ensure the quality, reliability and performance of the applications we develop and maintain. You will work closely with developers, business analysts and other stakeholders to translate requirements into clear test scenarios and identify potential issues early in the development process.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze functional and non‑functional requirements and translate them into structured test plans and scenarios.
• Design, document and execute test cases for new and existing applications, covering functional, regression, performance and security testing.
• Identify, reproduce and clearly document bugs, then collaborate with developers to support issue resolution.
• Validate fixes and perform regression testing to ensure existing functionality remains stable.
• Monitor and report testing progress, risks and results to relevant stakeholders.
• Use SQL to validate data and support functional testing activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• Understanding of software testing methodologies and various testing techniques.
• Experience with testing and issue‑management tools such as Selenium, JIRA or TestRail.
• Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to document findings clearly.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
• ISTQB Foundation Level certification is required or strongly preferred.
