Senior Drilling Completion Supervisor

About the role

Brunel is hiring a Senior Drilling Completion Supervisor for a two-year fixed-term contract on an offshore platform in Suriname. The role works on a 28‑day on / 28‑day off rotation (12 hours per day, seven days a week) and is responsible for overseeing drilling and completion activities, ensuring safety and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Support drilling assets within the Drilling & Wells department and supervise offshore drilling and completion operations.
• Act as the offshore representative, coordinating communication with the onshore operational team.
• Implement drilling and completion programs, issue and enforce rig standing instructions.
• Supervise high‑risk operations with accountability for well control and blowout prevention.
• Ensure compliance with company HSE requirements, bridging documents, and well‑control procedures.
• Coordinate daily logistics, equipment readiness, and upcoming activities to maintain safe and efficient operations.
• Optimize rig equipment, processes, and performance in collaboration with contractors and onshore teams.
• Lead safety initiatives, report incidents, and serve as Rig Site Emergency Response Safety Engineer.
• Mentor junior drilling and completion supervisors and act as On‑Scene Commander during emergencies.

Required profile

• Technical or engineering background (Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent).
• Proven operational experience in drilling, preferably as a Drilling & Completion Supervisor (DCSSV).
• Strong knowledge of offshore, specifically deep‑water environments.
