Risk Management Senior Associate – Talent Pool

About the role

IDB Invest is creating a Talent Pool of highly qualified Risk Management Senior Associates or Officers to support current and future business needs across the organization. The pool will provide expertise in identifying, assessing, monitoring, and mitigating risks for infrastructure, energy, corporate, and project finance transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Support origination, execution, and monitoring of infrastructure, energy, corporate and project finance transactions by delivering independent credit risk assessments.
• Evaluate complex financing structures, legal documentation, and risk models, and advise multidisciplinary teams on mitigation strategies.
• Review and validate credit ratings, monitor non‑sovereign portfolios, and prepare detailed credit risk reports for senior management.
• Collaborate on debt restructuring initiatives and apply risk methodologies and analytical tools to assess exposure.
• Promote best practices and knowledge sharing across teams to strengthen risk management and decision‑making processes.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering or a related field.
• 3‑4 years of relevant professional experience in risk management, credit analysis or related positions.
• Strong analytical abilities and a proven track record of developing innovative solutions.
• Fluency in English (spoken and written); additional languages such as Spanish, Portuguese or French are a plus.
