Offshore NDT Supervisor

About the role

The NDT Supervisor will oversee non‑destructive testing activities on a deep‑water offshore vessel, ensuring technical requirements are met and safety standards are upheld.

Key responsibilities

• Review contractor and supplier documentation (procedures, ITPs) and coordinate with other disciplines.
• Monitor implementation of approved procedures, surveillance plans, inspection and test plans, and AUT acceptance criteria.
• Produce daily production reports detailing all indications identified by AUT.
• Perform independent assessments of subcontractor interpretations and challenge discrepancies.
• Ensure material certificates and calibration equipment files are up to date.
• Conduct routine and random inspections, reporting any non‑conformities immediately to the offshore representative.

Required profile

• Engineer level diploma or equivalent.
• 10–15 years of professional experience, including 5+ years supervising deep‑water offshore operations.
• Recent participation in a deep‑water project with offshore SURF activities.
• Fluent English (spoken and written); French is a plus.

Required skills

• ISO 9712 UT Level 3 certification with strong AUT experience, including TOFD.
• Proficiency with PipeWizard software and SONUS system AUT interpreter qualification.
• Experience interpreting AUT on pipelay vessels or spool bases.
• Certifications: BOSIET, T‑BOSIET, FOET, HUET, CTA, CBSP.
• Strong HSE culture and ability to enforce HSEQ policies.
